No! You really can make money with This Is My Band as a Fan or a Band, and you don't have to pay any membership fees or any fees for that matter. It's all 100% free for you.
How can This Is My Band afford to pay us?
We make our money in many different ways. Advertising, selling tracks, selling cd's and a few more ways. We share that money with you (fans and bands). So when you watch a video and see an ad, or listen to music and hear an ad, or even see banners and text ads, you are helping us make money so you can make money.
Who can make money?
Anyone of legal age, in any legal country can make money.
How do I get paid?
If you are in the USA, you can get paid via check or paypal. If you are out of the USA you can only get paid via paypal at this time. If you need a paypal account you can go to
www.paypal.com. We will continue to work on more ways to pay you in the future.
Do you take out Taxes?
No. If you live outside the USA you need to deal with your own country about taxes. If you live in the USA, you will need to fill out a W-9 form before you can make over $600 a year. You will not have to fill that out until you reach that $600. We will then send you a 1099 form (again only if you make over $600 in a year).
Make sure you always follow all tax laws and take to an accountant for more details.
What can I do to make money?
Fans get paid everytime you play a music track or watch a video. You will need to be logged in to make money.
Bands get paid everytime someone plays your music or watches your videos. You can also sell your tracks, sell cd's and we are working on many more ways for you to make money.
