How do I change the default thumbnail for my audio?

While we may add this feature in the future, there is currently no way to change the thumbnails for audio.

How do I remove one of my audios?

To remove one of your audios, simply log in, click the "My Audios" link near the top of most pages and click the "Remove Audio" button below the audio you'd like to remove.

How do I change or add to the information I entered about my audio?

  1. Click the "My Audios" link near the top of most pages.
  2. Click the "Edit Audio" link under the audio you want to edit.
  3. From the next screen, you can change, add to, or delete whatever information you'd like about your audio, including permissions settings (allowing comments, responses, ratings, etc.).

Why isn't my audio showing up in search?

Depending on site traffic, changes to audio information can take 8 hours or more to show up in the search index after they've been uploaded, changed, or removed. This includes changes to tags, ratings, views, and comments. Please be patient -- the audio will show in the search index shortly. To bypass this time, you may want to send your friends the link of the audio via email or private message.

To find audio that were recently uploaded, you may want to sort by "Recently Added". To do this, click the "LISTEN" link at the top and on that page click the "Recently Added" link.

What are tags? How do I add them?

Tags are keywords that describe audio. For example, a country song might be tagged with "country," and "bluegrass" Users who enjoy listening to country music can then search for any of those terms and that audio will show up in their search results. Tags help you label audio you upload so that other people can find them more easily.

Add tags to your audio by clicking the "My Audios" link and selecting "Edit Audio" Enter as many tags as you'd like into the Tags field and click the "Update Audio" button at the bottom of the page.

What should I put in my audio description?

To best promote your audio, you'll want its description to be both accurate and interesting. Here are a few tips to help you get started:

Make your description clear and specific.
Your audio should stand out from the crowd. Try to determine what content it contains that will help users find it and distinguish it from other audios. Using descriptive language in complete sentences is a good idea.

Give credit when appropriate.
If people don't know the exact title or other keywords associated with your audio, they might search the name of a participant or another website where it's featured. Be sure to include as much information as you feel comfortable, but be careful not to include anything that shouldn't be publicly displayed.

Categorize correctly.
The category into which you place your audio is part of its description as well. People are more likely to rate your audio highly and listen to it more frequently if it's placed in a relevant category.

How do I know who’s listened to my audios?

There's currently no way to tell who's listened to your audio. However, you can keep a count on how many plays it's had.
