How long/large can my video be?

All videos uploaded to This Is My Band have a 250MB file size limit. The longer the video is, the more compression will be required to fit it into that size. For that reason, most videos on This Is My Band are under 30 minutes long even though we don't have a time limit. If you have a video that is longer than 30 minutes you will need to save it as a compressed .wmv format, and it may look bad, but you are more than welcome to upload any time length video you like as long as it's under 250MB file size.

How long/large can my audio be?

All audios uploaded to This Is My Band have a 100MB file size limit. With 100MB you could have a song that is hours long, so you probably will never reach that limit on any song you upload. Remember they must be in MP3 format only.

What's the difference between a Fan account and a Band account?

Both accounts have the same features except the following...

Fan accounts can NOT upload audios, and a fan account profile page will be a little different format.

Band accounts can upload audios (unlimited amounts) and band account profiles will be a little different.

If you are a Record Label, we have an account type that will allow you to manage many band (or fan) accounts from one master account. Please signup as a band account and then contact us at labelaccount at thisismyband dot com and let us know the account username and we will convert it to a Record Label Account.

I forgot my user name or password. How do I log back into the site?

Click the "Login" link in the upper right corner and on that page you will see a link that says "Forgot your Password". Click that and enter your email address you have on file with us, and we will email the username and password to you.

Can I change my username?

Currently, you cannot change your username— there is simply too much information tied to each account. You may, however, sign up for a new account with the username that you desire.
