Blitch is an all female hard rock band from Asheville, NC. With Crystal Akers on vocals and guitar, and sister April Adams on drums. The two played music together for years before finally incorporating Tashia Shamwell who plays bass and adds some vocals, completing the format and sound they had been seeking. They have been described as an agressive female rock band, with Crystal's edgy vocals accented by Tashia's eerie harmonies. The three piece band joined together in February of 2008, and began gigging that June. They recorded their first four-track Demo in late August and after good sales and much air-time on the local radio stations, they decided they were ready to record a full length album, which was released in late November of 2008, titled "Rebuilt". Rebuilt displays the wide range of styles that Blitch represents. From slow melodic songs such as "Please" and "Waiting in Darkness" to punk with "My Own Place" to metal with "Clear" and "Overcoming Hate".
